BOJAN KRIKIC A CAUTIONARY TALE FOR ANSU FATI

The rise of Barcelona teenager AnsuFati has been spectacular with the young Guinea-Bissau born forward breaking records this season. He became the second-youngest scorer in Barcelona history and has also shown glimpses of what he can do on the pitch.

However, despite his rise in fame in the past few weeks, Barcelona are understandably trying to downplay the hype. This can be attributed to what happened to another teenage sensation, BojanKrkic. Bojan was regarded as the golden boy of Barcelona after emerging from the Barcelona youth team at a young age.
He had scored over 100 goals at the youth level and had also led the Spanish u17 team to the World Cup finals winning the Golden Boot. It was all set to be the emergence of the Spaniard to become a co-star of the club alongside Lionel Messi.

However, as with most cases of childhood fame, it was difficult for Bojan to keep up with the expectations placed on him by the club and fans. He became depressed after failing to break into the first team and was shipped to several clubs on loan.
It was always assumed that he could regain that form and return t Barcelona but that never happened. He eventually ended up in England with Stoke City, after a promising first season; injuries ensured that he only played a peripheral role subsequently. Now in the United States, Bojan can be classified as a player that failed to fulfill his enormous potentials.
AnsuFati looks like the type to keep his head straight and has several players to look up to, The recent progress of KylianMbappe and Jadon Sancho can be an inspiration to him. While Mbappe has that killer instinct in him, Sancho is more of a flamboyant player.
Ansu still has time on his side, and if carefully managed could be the star of the next decade.
