BOJAN: AJAX CAREER IN FOCUS

Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam signed BojanKrkic on a season-long loan deal in the summer of 2013. The loan move to Ajax from Spanish giants Barcelona was confirmed on July 6, 2013 with the option for a second year with the Dutch team on loan.

Ajax Amsterdam CEO (Chief Executive Officer) Michael Kinsbergen and director of football Marc Overmarswere instrumental to the loan deal for Bojan after they flew to Barcelona a day before the deal was completed. The player said his conversations with Ajax and Barcelona legend Johan Cryuffhad an impact on his decision to join the Dutch Eredivisie side as a Barcelona loanee. Also, the opportunity to play Champions League football was another reason behind his loan move to Ajax Amsterdam.

BojanKrkic made his Ajax debut in a preseason friendly clash with fellow Dutch team Waalwijk on July 13, 2013. He came on as a substitute for Danny Hoesen on the hour mark and he provided the assist for the final goal of the game scored by BobanLazic in the final minutes of the game as Ajax ran out 5-1 winners. His first goal in an Ajax Amsterdam shirt came during the 3-2 away win over hosts Werder Bremen in preseason. He scored his goal on 43 minutes and it was the second Ajax goal of the game played on July 19, 2013.
Spanish attacker BojanKrkic won his first trophy at Ajax Amsterdam on July 27, 2013 with the Dutch Super Cup. He started the game against AZ Alkmaar on the right wing before being replaced by Lucas Andersen on 61 minutes. Ajax needed extra time to see off their opponents to win their eighth title in the competition via a 3-2 scoreline.
BojanKrkic spent one year at Ajax with an attacking return of four goals in 24 appearances and he won the league title at the end of the season.
