ARSENAL TO PAY OZIL OUT

According to a report Arsenal are prepared to pay-out the remainder of Mesut Ozil’s contract. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has given the go ahead about the proposed negotiation. He is happy for the player to leave the club with one year remaining on his current deal.

It seems Ozil doesn’t appear to have a future at Arsenal. The club is looking for a way to buy him out of his £18 million deal. The World Cup winner is one of Arsenals best players on his day, but Arteta hasn’t seen enough from the former Real Madrid playmaker to give him a place in his first team. Ozil did not feature at all after the Premier League resumed from Covid19 enforced break.

The Mirror reported that the Gunners are considering giving Ozil his annual salary of £18m for him to leave the club this summer. The idea to send him on loan and the north London club will also subsidize his £350,000-a-week wages.
Arteta wants a clear out ahead of next season as he looks to build on his sides FA Cup triumph. Turk Super Lig sides Fenerbahce, Galatasaray and Besiktas are reportedly keen on landing the experienced player. The Yellow Canaries almost signed him last summer, but the deal fell through last minute.
Ozil was also linked to the MLS. The playmaker was linked to Montreal Impact. The club is managed by former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry. Montreal also have former EPL stars in their squad, Victor Wanyama and Bojan Krkic. But no concrete offer was submitted to Arsenal.
The former Werder Bremen star still has a year left on his £350,000-a-week contract at Arsenal. No club is ready to offer Ozil the same wage. Arsenal have realized that, and the only available option is to pay him out.
