WHAT WENT WRONG WITH BOJAN?

Every young talent that emerges from the La Masia academy is termed the new Lionel Messi. But the legend of Messi has risen beyond La Masia and every young talent around the world is now considered as the next Argentine wizard. Many have been given the title and no one has reached the level that the Barca captain has reached. Most recently Ansu Fati. The 16 years old has already broken Lionel Messi's record. He still has a long way to go if he is to reach the level of Messi, but like the others only time will tell.

One Man who fitted well to the comparison was Bojan Krkic. They have similar height, same saggy hair and a playing style to match. He also emerged from La Masia and also made his debut for Barcelona. Like Messi, Bojan also took the world by storm at youth Level. He was the best player at the U17 world cup in 2007 where Spain lost the final on penalties against Nigeria.

Though Messi had only introduced himself to the global fans. But his talent was so glaring and it was just a matter of time before he dominated the game like never before.
Just 17 years, the former Roma forward became the youngest player to represent the famous club in a La Liga match - taking the record previously held by Messi.
At international level, such was the clamour over his talent, both Spain and Serbia were desperate to secure his services.
For all this early promise and hype, the Spain international's career took a nosedive to such an extent that he now plies his trade for MLS side Montreal Impact.
He failed to break into the Barca first 5eam due to established available stars in the sides. He made a move to Roma, and he couldn't break into the side, had another stop at AC Milan before he joined Stoke City in the Epl.
He started well with the Potters till injury stopped him. It could be said that Bojan was unfortunate with injuries, while others believed that it was just all hype and he didn't possess the talent to match the hype surrounding him.
