STOKE GIVES BOJAN KRKIC FRESH CHANCE

Premier League side Stoke City have offered BojanKrkic a fresh chance to succeed at the club after his time on loan in Germany.

Bojan is expected to star in the team next season, according to reports.

The 26-year old played in the German Bundesliga in January for Mainz 05 but after impressing Stoke decided to hand him more league appearances when the season restarts in August.

The injuries to Ibrahim Afellay and Stephen Ireland likely had a hand but manager Mark Hughes has decided to retain the player.

Earlier there were reports that German sides wanted to sign the former Barcelona star. Kicker even reports that at least four sides were considering the player. The clubs went ahead to contact Stoke about his availability and price.

La Liga new boys Girona were also asking for Bojan to join them as they are set for the Spanish top flight. Stoke boss Tony Scholes had said that the club would not be offering Bojan out as they had plans for him.

“Bojan could be a key element for us in the coming season,” he had said.
It seems all the pieces are joining. There were numerous reports that the player would eventually leave but now it’s been confirmed that he would remain. The Potters would now likely offload players like Joselu, Philipp Wollscheid and GiannelliImbula.

Hughes is expected to add players as well as restructure the team this summer.
