Stoke City end on a High

"We couldn't have asked for a better finish to a really great season. The level of performance in that first 45 minutes was exceptional and I don't think it reflects badly on Liverpool. I think most teams would have struggled to cope with the quality and intensity of our play.’’

This was the statement that was released by Mark Hughes as he praised the work and performance that his players displayed during the last match of the season of Stoke City as they locked horns with Liverpool and came out as the victorious side with a resounding 6-1 triumph.

Mark Hughes said that the level of performance that his team displayed during the opening 45 minutes was exceptional and the experienced manager is right in saying so as Stoke City scored 5 goals in the first half which was just overwhelming Liverpool who couldn’t contain the hosts from scoring. The win has already seen their Premier League odds for 2015/16 shorten, with may punters now expecting a top 10 finish from Mark Hughes' men.

Stoke 6 - Liverpool 1

Collecting a total of 54 points in the Premier League is the highest amount that Stoke City has secured in the history of the club as Mark Hughes guided the English club to a record breaking season which includes not only having gathered the most amount of Premier League points in a single season but also securing the most wins with 15 victories as well as secure the most amount of goals being scored in a single campaign with 48 goals.

There is no doubt whatsoever that it has been a truly remarkable season for Mark Hughes and Stoke City as the club is reaching new heights that were never before seen.

The captain of Stoke City, Ryan Shawcross has been performing with the club since 2008 and he admitted that their performance against Liverpool was the best that he has seen ever since joining the club.

Mark Hughes and his team are hoping that they can kick off the upcoming season in the same way that they finished this one, with huge victories and sublime performances.
