KRKIC RULED OUT

Bojan Krkic will not be able to give his services to his club Ajax Amsterdam for the next one and half months. The 23 years old Catalonian winger injured his hamstring while playing in Ajax’s previous Eredivisie game against Go Ahead Eagles.

This is disappointing news for the Ajax supporters. The Dutch club has to play some important games in near future including the Champions League game against Celtic which is going to be played on 22nd of this month. Krkic could have played a massive part in those games.

Ajax released a statement yesterday confirming that Krkic will not be available for the next few weeks. That statement says, “Bojan suffered a hamstring injury in the match against Go Ahead Eagles. The scan showed that it’s a serious injury. The forward will not be able to play for about 6 weeks.”

Krkic is reported to have gone back to Catalonia where he will undergo further treatment.

The upcoming two Champions League games against Celtic are very important for Ajax. They have been able to secure just 1 point from their first couple of games so far. In their first game against Barcelona, they suffered a huge defeat by 0-4. They put up a slightly better show against AC Milan in their second game and secured one point by playing a 1-1 draw.

Ajax would like to secure some points in the next two games against Celtic and Krkic would have helped them in doing that, but, unfortunately, it’s not going to be the case now. Krkic is out and Ajax will have to do without him.

Krkic is actually a contracted player of Barcelona, but, he was placed on loan to Ajax at the start of this season. He will play for the Dutch club for the entire season.
