KRKIC ONE OF THE FEW TO SHINE
Roma have invested heavily in terms of the player transfers in the summer, but they have not been exactly rewarded in the same way that they would have been hoping for. At nearly the half stage of the season, Roma are not in a great position to challenge for the title, although they are very close to qualifying for the Champions League once again.
The prospect of qualifying for the Champions League group stages will ensure enough revenue for the team to once again invest in the summer. One of the summer signings who have managed to shine for Roma has been Bojan Krkic. The Barcelona sensation made his move to Roma after being frustrated with the lack of first-team opportunities at Camp Nou.
Even though he has not exactly been reported with a lot of first team opportunities at Roma, he has him playing a lot of regularly than at Barcelona. Bojan Krkic is the first to admit this fact and says that he is not all regretting the fact that he had to leave one of the best clubs in Europe.
"I chose to go to Rome and I didn’t even think about what I’d be leaving back in Barcelona - only the new challenge that was waiting for me. It's been a great experience so far, and I'm extremely happy I came to Rome," he told Corriere dello Sport.
Luis Enrique is fighting to stay in the job after making a average start to the season. However, he can be forgiven given that Juventus are coming back to their best at the moment coupled with the impressive AC Milan, who lead the top of the Italian Serie A table. The recent 3-0 loss to Fiorentina did not improve things Luis Enrique, and it will not be long before he leaves his position.
