BOJAN KRKIC WANTS STOKE RETURN

Bojan Krkic is hoping to return to Premier League side Stoke City following the sack of Mark Hughes. The 27-year old is quite popular among the club fans but Hughes wasn’t totally sold on the Spaniard. Hughes sent Krkic on loan to Spanish side Alaves last summer but the former Barcelona man wants a return to England.

The player has a decent record while at Stoke and he proved he still got it when he scored a stunner against Getafe in the Copa del Rey while in action for Alaves. The player believes he has what it takes to play top level football now that the club needs it more than ever.

Stoke forward Jese Rodriguez is expected to go out on a loan deal this January after failing to build on his start at the club. Las Palmas are the rumoured club. If the deal goes through, it could open up space for Krkic’s return.

With the sack of Hughes, who was at the club for close to four years, former West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic is believed to be the next in line for the role. Bilic did a good job while with the Hammers but he somehow lost it altogether along the way: his buys were not converting right and they were always injured. As the club slumped in form, the board decided to act in time.

Bilic would be mandated with saving Stoke from relegation threats and if possible, helping them finish in the top half. Stoke have 20 points so far, with a game in hand, but they are 18th on the log. Watford are 10th with 26 points so, much can be achieved before the end of the season.
