BOJAN KRKIC PROMISES MORE AT STOKE CITY

Former Barcelona star BojanKrkic has promised to deliver his best at Premier League side Stoke City after he was handed another opportunity this summer.

The Spaniard struggled to find form when he returned from injury last season. He could not hold his spot in Mark Hughes’ team so he was sent on loan to German side Mainz 05.

The 26-year old is set to get another shot in Hughes team in the forthcoming season. The coach praised Bojan’s effort in Germany and added that he hopes for better spell at the Britannia Stadium.

On his part, Bojan thanked the fans of the club for supporting him every step of the way.

“I really love the Stoke city fans. For me, it was hard to be in another team in February. I never expected that, but the football is like this. Every day, every week, the Stoke fans send me messages. I feel them really close,” he said.

Bojan added that the concern was special for him as he was not British yet they care for him.

“It is really important because I am not from here, I am from a different country, from a different city and don’t know anyone. I only knew Marc Muniesa, but it was really fast to get to know everyone and the fans, It’s a real family club, a family team, and this is important for me. It’s nice when you are away and the people are thinking of you,” he said.

The forward started with the youth system at Nou Camp before breaking into the senior team. He moved to Milan to get more game time from AS Roma. He moved back to Barca and then went on loan to Ajax before he was sold to Stoke City in 2014. He was linked with four Spanish clubs Real Betis, Espanyol, Valencia, and Las Palmas but Stoke opted to retain him. The striker has scored 15 goals in 60 games for the Potterssince he joined.
