Bojan Krkic to join Ajax on loan

Barcelona have agreed a deal with Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam which will see the club’s outcast striker Bojan Krkic making a loan switch to the Eredivisie champions for the upcoming season. Ajax will also have the option to retain the Spanish international striker for another season following the end of the first season if the club chooses to.

If the deal for the loan is sanctioned by the Dutch football association, it will see the Barcelona youth product move to his third different club in as many years after he left Barcelona for Roma and then to AC Milan. The 22 year old left Barcelona for AS Roma in Italy after club legend Luis Enrique bought him for the Italian giants before being loaned to AC Milan last year following the sacking of Enrique. Bojan Krkic failed to make a mark with Roma scoring just 7 goals in 33 games for the capital club and he played 19 league games for the Milanese club and scored 3 goals.

However, at the end of the 2012-13 season, Barcelona decided to exercise their buy back option which was included in the contract when he was initially sold to Roma and brought him back to the club and has farmed him out again on loan, this time to the former Kings of Europe that has a history of creating world class players since the 1970s.

According to top football blog, Ajax have been the champions of the Dutch league for the past three seasons and is currently managed by former Barcelona player Frank de Boer, another factor that led Barcelona to part with the young player for the next and possibly the season after that. Now, it is only worth seeing if Bojan Krkic finally manages to live up to the expectations of both the clubs and perform.
