BOJAN FIT FOR ATALANTA

Bojan Krkic has given a major boost for Roma after becoming fit in time for the weekend match against Atalanta. Former Barcelona striker Bojan Krkic has not been in training for Roma due to slight knock suffered in the knee during the training session on Friday.

He was expected to miss the match against Atlanta as a result of this minor injury, but he has made sufficient recovery in order to be included in the squad that was set to face Atlanta. This is a major match for Roma given that they are fighting to qualify for the Champions League this season.

A number of teams have already secured a major advantage in the race for the Champions league positions. Roma have just 41 points from the 27 matches played so far, while the likes of Lazio, Napoli, and Udinese all lead the capital club. To make matters even worse, only the top three teams qualify for the Champions League automatically, with the fourth team only managing the play-offs position. Roma trail third placed Lazio by seven points, which looks even worse following the 2-1 defeat they suffered in the Rome derby recently. Even though Roma have the services of Bojan Krkic for the match against Atlanta, they will be without Francesco Totti, who is suspended for one match.

"Of course I want to win the derby. But the only thing that should be on my players' mind is the game at Atalanta. It is dangerous to think of the derby right now but the best way to prepare for the game against Lazio is to beat Atalanta, who are a dangerous team. We must give continuity to our results and Sunday's game is important," Roma manager Luis Enrique said ahead of the match with Atlanta on Sunday.
