Stoke City end on a High

"We couldn't have asked for a better finish to a really great season. The level of performance in that first 45 minutes was exceptional and I don't think it reflects badly on Liverpool. I think most teams would have struggled to cope with the quality and intensity of our play.’’

This was the statement that was released by Mark Hughes as he praised the work and performance that his players displayed during the last match of the season of Stoke City as they locked horns with Liverpool and came out as the victorious side with a resounding 6-1 triumph.

Mark Hughes said that the level of performance that his team displayed during the opening 45 minutes was exceptional and the experienced manager is right in saying so as Stoke City scored 5 goals in the first half which was just overwhelming Liverpool who couldn’t contain the hosts from scoring. The win has already seen their Premier League odds for 2015/16 shorten, with may punters now expecting a top 10 finish from Mark Hughes' men.
