Manchester City for the time being

After being linked with any exit for much of the summer, it looks like Yaya Touré will stay at Manchester City for the time being.

The Ivory Coast international has attracted intense criticism from critics and fans for the lackadaisical attitude that he has shown for the last 12 months. Inter Milan showed a lot of interest in the player, but Touré has ended up staying at in the Etihad stadium. He is looking forward to another season with City, but one that will be more successful if they put in their 100% effort. The 32-year-old has claimed that he is extremely happy to be back in training after a short rest.

Touré has had a three-week break from football. During this period, he has witnessed City complete the signing of Raheem Sterling from Liverpool for £ 49 million. Even though the England winger has not broken the transfer record in the Premier League, he becomes the most expensive player signed by City. More names are expected to come in the near future. One of the competitors for Touré has arrived in the former Fabian Delph from Aston Villa. The England midfielder has cost £ 8 million and has signed a five-year contract with the club.

"After two or three years full of competition, I needed the break but I am very happy to be back and working. We have a lot of targets. The target this year is to make his club proud because last year was quite disappointing. We want to do something big this year.We are looking forward to the new players coming and trying to help the club do something big.The club has been built to top this league and when we finish in second it is quite disappointing. We want to bounce back. This club don't have to be second or third,” said Toure.
